Vascular & Endovascular Surgery in Guntur
Arteries, veins and lymphatics — diagnosed with imaging, treated with open surgery or minimally invasive endovascular technique, whichever the anatomy actually calls for.
About this speciality
Vascular disease rarely announces itself clearly. It shows up as a leg that aches by evening, a wound on the foot that will not close, a calf that swells overnight, or a cramp that stops you after a fixed walking distance. Behind each of those is a circulation problem that can be measured — and, in most cases, treated.
The vascular service at Siva Sakthi covers the arterial, venous and lymphatic systems in adults. Assessment begins with clinical examination and duplex ultrasound, extended to CT or MR angiography where the anatomy demands it. Treatment ranges from compression and medical therapy through to endovascular intervention and open surgical reconstruction.
How we approach it
Measure before treating
Duplex ultrasound, ankle-brachial index and, where indicated, CT or MR angiography establish exactly which vessel is diseased and how badly, before any treatment is recommended.
Least invasive option that works
Where an endovascular approach gives a durable result it is preferred, for shorter recovery and less wound risk. Where open surgery is the more reliable answer, that is what we say.
Limb salvage first
In diabetic foot disease and critical limb ischaemia the objective is restoring blood flow and preserving a functional foot, with amputation considered only when the limb is unsalvageable.
Conditions
What we treat
Varicose Veins
Rope-like veins, aching legs by evening, ankle swelling or skin discolouration usually mean the valves in the leg veins have stopped closing properly.

Cramping calf pain that appears at a predictable walking distance and settles with rest is the classic sign of narrowed leg arteries — and a warning about the heart and brain arteries too.

Foot pain at night, an ulcer that will not heal or blackening toes mean the limb is not receiving enough blood to survive at rest.

Swelling that starts at the toes or fingers, feels firm rather than watery, and does not settle overnight suggests the lymphatic system, not the veins.
